Evan is getting so big. He loves to sit up and stare at people and things. He isn't happy unless he is sitting up. He is getting stronger everyday and can hold his head up pretty good.
This is the closest we get to a smile so far. He just burped and spit up a little and thought it was funny.
He gets to take a nap on his tummy when he gets lots of gas. Since he sleeps with his mouth open he needs a rag to keep from drooling all over. His lips are so cute.
Evan is doing a lot better with feeding and doesn't throw up or gag as much. He can eat almost lying down which is a huge improvement from when we were at the hospital. Evan also has an umbilical hernia that is about 2 cm high. The doctors at PCMC told us that when we get home in a few weeks some premies get one. We were watching and sure enough a couple of weeks ago it started to look like a small outie and then it just got bigger. We think it is as large as it is going to get. I haven't taken a picture of it yet but will soon. Most umbilical hernias go away on their own when babies start to use their stomach muscles more. We are watching it and making sure it stays soft. We also have a doctors appointment on the second and will see if it needs anything else. So far it doesn't bother him and it mainly bothers us.
We think of Amanda and her family everyday and they are always in our prayers. We love watching Evan grow and think it is the greatest that he looks so much like her family. We should be getting our pictures back this weekend and will send another package to her. Next weekend my visiting teachers are doing a baby shower for us. If anyone needs directions please email me. I don't think all the invitations have gone out yet so don't worry if you haven't gotten one yet.
